Beyond the classroom: exploring the world of learning

At findyourwaytosoar, we believe that education extends far beyond textbooks and classrooms. Our family's journey is a testament to this philosophy: learning in school is just the start. Take that foundational knowledge and actively explore your world, making every experience a lesson.

Real-world connections: learning beyond the books

I have seen firsthand how my son gets so excited about understanding learning concepts that he becomes eager to discover, explore, and find those very concepts in the vibrant world around them. This natural curiosity, once ignited, transforms passive learning into an active adventure, perfectly aligning with our mission at findyourwaytosoar. In the picture to the left Brandon visits George Washington's Mount Vernon, witnessing the building's symmetry in addition to its location right on the banks of the Potomac River.  He could see and feel the affects of the cool breeze off the river and how the symmetry of the construction aided in using those breezes to cool the house.

Symmetry of the Front Face

Although not exactly symmetrical (and there is a reason for that, this image show some of the symmetrical features of Washington's main structure.

Facing the Mighty Potomac River

Even though the lawn was being improved during our visit, you can see how close the main house is the river Washington loved so much!  Even better, standing on the veranda we could feel the cool breeze of the river... the same breeze that cooled our first president.

Brandon's Favorite Museum, Smithsonian's Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Museum

Brandon visits this museum so often, it is almost impossible to name the amount of science and math concepts he has discovered, searched for or learned more about.

Our history

From modest beginnings, we've grown through unwavering dedication and a commitment to continuous improvement. Each step has reinforced our core belief in the power of collaboration and the importance of integrity. We're passionate about what we do, and we're excited to share our story with you.

Museum moments: learning comes to life

One memorable adventure took us to the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg, PA, during our son's second-grade year. As he read a display, he exclaimed, "Hey mom and dad, these have topic sentences like we do in school!" It was a powerful reminder of how classroom lessons resonate in real-world contexts and inspire genuine connections to learning.

Your journey to soar: inspire real-world learning

Inspired by our family's continuous exploration, findyourwaytosoar encourages every student to embrace their inner explorer. We empower learners to connect academic concepts to their everyday experiences, fostering a lifelong love for discovery and critical thinking. Let us help you find your way to soar! In the picture to the left and below, simply applying science learning to the autumn changes at our local waterfall is fulfilling both physically and academically.  Every time we review or recall any content, those neural pathways in the brain get stronger and stronger.

"All humans can learn...let me help you discover how you learn and then SOAR into a world of amazing knowledge."
